At least 23 people have died after a bus derailed into a ravine on a mountain road in the state of Alagoas in Brazil, according to local authorities.
The rescue authorities inform that 22 people died at the scene of the accident and one died later in the hospital.
The accident happened in the remote Serra de Barriga mountain range near the town of Uniao dos Palmares on Sunday local time.
According to local media reports, twenty people were injured in the accident. There were reportedly 40 passengers in the bus.
