Virtua Fighter is back, but unfortunately not in the way you expected. And no, no new episode in sight, but the remaster of Virtua Fighter 5, subtitled REVO and which will only land on PC. We obviously feel that SEGA is holding back, probably wary of taking a hit in terms of sales by betting on a Virtua Fighter 6. It must be said that the license has been forgotten for a while and that the last Virtua Fighter was released in 2007, so a payday. It is therefore difficult to bring back such a series after so many years of absence, but by attempting a remaster in 4K, we can already test the waters. Among the new features planned for this remaster, there is the upgraded display and of course the netcode rollback to ensure online battles without the slightest hitch, and the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio was responsible for the port. The release of Virtua Fighter 5 REVO is planned for this winter, without a specific date, but there is at least the announcement video.
