In Pakistan, the authorities have been able to negotiate a week-long ceasefire between the Sunni and Shiite Muslims fighting each other.
The minister representing the administration Muhammad Ali Saif told the Reuters news agency on Sunday that Sunni and Shia Muslim leaders in the heartland of Pakistan have said they will refrain from further attacks.
The violence began on Thursday when two Shiite convoys were attacked and 43 people were killed.
The Shia factions retaliated against the Sunnis, and the death toll rose to more than eighty on Sunday.
