On Sunday, mild air moves over the country, which contributes to SMHI’s yellow warnings for icy conditions initially remaining on Monday morning. Precipitation turns into rain.
“Then this warmer air will continue to push in during Monday and can then actually reach almost the entire country,” says the meteorologist Magdalena Folestad at SMHI.
In Götaland, Svealand and southernmost Norrland, the temperature can rise to around ten plus degrees.
— And you can still say it’s warm for this time of year, says Folestad.
However, the really mild weather will be short-lived. In the southern part of the country, the temperature will still be above five degrees on Tuesday. Rain can be expected until Thursday.
In the northernmost part of the country, however, some snow will pass during Tuesday, according to Folestad.
A ridge of high pressure grows in during Wednesday – at least over the northern and central part of the country. On Friday, it temporarily spreads across the country and snow flurries begin to find their way over the northernmost mountain areas.
