For several weeks, preparations for the transport have been underway in Luleå. The municipality has adapted and widened several roads so that the 70-metre-long, seven-metre-wide and approximately 500-tonne transport could get to Boden.
The whole thing has been delayed due to weather and wind, but during the night to Sunday it happened – with many curious Luleå residents as an audience.
– It was awesome, and there were a lot of people out there who were interested, says Luleå resident Elin Rånby.
In the coming weeks, several similar transports will take place.
