Since the release of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, players have been facing the craziest challenges. A fan has come up with a very special task, the outcome of which he is now proudly sharing with the public.
What kind of challenge was that? The player on Reddit has set himself the task of killing 1,000 people in Skyrim without killing a single animal, monster or other creature. In a screenshot he shows statistics that he has already murdered 999 NPCs. His 1,000th victim can already be seen in the background.
In order to reach 1,000, the player wants to kill none other than the Emperor Titus Mede II himself. In the image we see him sneaking up with his dagger – ready to kill his 1000th victim.
But killing 1,000 NPCs without killing an innocent rabbit, aggressive wolf, or other creature requires a lot of skill. The player reveals how he achieved this feat.
Skyrim still fascinates many players today:
Player in Skyrim is a pacifist, but not with humans
How did he do that? In order to kill so many NPCs, the user played an illusion assassin. So that he didn’t kill a single creature other than humans, he initially ran away from everything. He was later said to have used illusion magic to avoid enemies who were not human.
Alternatively, illusion magic can be used to level up. One player has set himself the task of reaching level 1,337 with just one illusion spell.
The player in the current case used the illusion spell “Silence” until he was able to use higher levels of the “Soothe” spell. Combined with Mind Master, he could stop all creatures from fighting.
The player states that he killed every single bandit and Forsworn he could find. In addition, he did not accept quests that required him to kill undead or others. In order to keep the level of the NPCs artificially low, he avoided leveling other skills such as lockpicking.
He didn’t make it easy for himself: he used the “Expert” difficulty level, i.e. the second highest difficulty level. But when he was able to fully use the illusion spell “Appease,” it was like easy mode for him.
It could be a few years before The Elder Scrolls 6 appears. However, a role-playing game could fill the gap until Bethesda’s upcoming role-playing game is released. MeinMMO author Max Handwerk reveals that Avowed could be a good alternative for all Skyrim fans: The role-playing game Avowed could finally fill the gap left by Skyrim
