Committed a crime in Switzerland

Earlier this year, Erling Haaland committed a crime in Switzerland. This led to him receiving a fine of 60 francs, which corresponds to around 740 Swedish kronor – something he still has not paid.

Erling Haaland’s father, Alf Ingehas been living in Switzerland for a year, which means that Haaland will probably return there in the near future, but then he risks being put in prison because the fine has not been paid. In addition, Manchester City face Tottenham on Saturday, and this spring City may risk facing Swiss Young Boys in the Champions League.

What crime Haaland committed that led to the fine is still unclear.

Risking jail time – for a day

If Erling Haaland doesn’t pay the fine, he faces a one-day jail sentence the next time he sets foot on Swiss soil.

According to information to The Mirror Manchester City wants to extend the contract with Haaland, and give him the league’s lowest salary. The club is said to be ready to pay the top scorer the equivalent of almost SEK 7 million a week.

According to Spotrac Haaland currently earns around £340,000 a week, which corresponds to approximately SEK 4.7 million. A fine of SEK 740 should therefore not be a major problem for Haaland to get rid of.
