Max Verstappen is the fifth driver to win four consecutive championships.
Red Bull Max Verstappen secured his fourth consecutive World Drivers’ Championship at the Las Vegas event.
For Verstappen, who finished fifth in the race, this was enough to secure the championship by Lando Norris above. Norris’ speed was not dizzying, but he ended up finishing sixth.
– This has been a long season. Of course we started great, but after that we had a difficult period. I am extremely proud of everyone and what they did for me, Verstappen commented in the track interview.
Four consecutive championships is not common in the history of F1, but only four drivers have been able to do it in the past: Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Juan Manuel Fangio. In addition to them, he reached at least four championships during his career Alain Prost.

Russell drove to victory
