Warships from four countries have visited the Kattegat Strait between Denmark and Sweden.
Late on Friday evening, the Hvidbjornen ship, which had set off from Ålborg, Denmark, arrived, and early on Saturday morning, the Kbv rescue ship sailed to the area from Gothenburg.
The Bad Duben patrol ship of the German Navy was already there. The information appears on the website Marinetraffic, which tracks ship traffic.
According to information from Helsingin Sanomat, the Russian missile corvette Merkuri also anchored in the Kattegat Strait on Thursday.
Merkuri seems to have come to observe the situation of the Chinese cargo ship Yi Peng 3 suspected of cable violations in the Baltic Sea and to demonstrate Russia’s power, experts interviewed by the magazine estimate.
– The fact that the Russians go to the region to mark it shows that the alliance between Russia and China is real and functional, says the director of the Foreign Policy Institute Hiski Haukkala today on the Ykkösaamu TV program.
