President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan praised the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Saturday for its “courageous decision” when it issued an arrest warrant for Israel’s leadership.

The ICC announced on Thursday that it would demand the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the former Minister of Defense by Yoav Gallant detention.

At the same time, the ICC rejected the objections raised by the State of Israel, which tried to deny the court’s jurisdiction in the case.

– We support the arrest warrant. We think it is important that all Member States implement this bold decision. This is how we will restore trust in the humanitarian system of the international system, Erdoğan said in his speech in Istanbul on Saturday.
