After the illness problems: “Not completely unexpected” • They are ready for the semi-finals
Victoria Grace Larsson leaves Idol in the quarter-finals. At the end of the program, she and participant Minou Nilsson hung loose. When all the votes had been counted, it was clear that it was Victoria Grace Larsson who was forced to leave, a week before the semi-finals.
When TV4 Nyheterna talks to Victoria Grace Larsson afterwards, she says that it was not “completely unexpected” that she had to leave.
– I have been terminally ill for two weeks. It is difficult to develop then, but I am very proud of my effort, that I was even able to sing and deliver considering that I only practiced for two days. I am very proud of my trip, I had so much fun, she says.
“Went in with a great weight”
The idols performed two songs each in the evening’s program, on the themes of Disney and “Idol 20 years”. Victoria Grace Larsson sang “Part of your world” from the Disney film “The Little Mermaid”, and former “Idol” contestant Hanna Ferm’s song “Forever”. Above all, she received praise from the jury after the first performance.
– This was one of your best performances so far, Disney will call you, said Katia Mosally.
Victoria Grace Larsson says she feels satisfied with the performances.
– I went in with a lot of weight after last week’s hate and that I was still bad and hadn’t been able to practice. I was so happy that I managed to let it go and just enjoy when it was time, especially during the Disney song, she says.
They advance to the semi-finals
She looks back on her “Idol” journey with gratitude.
– What a journey, and how much I have developed. I have met the world’s finest friends, they are memories to last a lifetime. I am more than grateful, she says.
The rest of the idols who participated during the night will go directly to the semi-finals next week. Then it’s between Leo Tekiel, Margaux Flavet, Minou Nilsson, Robin Sohlberg and Joel Nordenberg.
Minou Nilsson, who also hung loose on Saturday’s program, says that it feels “absolutely sick” to be ready for the semi-finals.
– I kind of didn’t think so, everyone has been so talented so it feels unimaginable that you can stand there yourself. I enjoy it more and more every time, and I just want to stand on this stage again and again, she says.
