Baku climate conference ending in disappointment funding falling short

At the UN climate conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, negotiators from small island states and developing countries have walked out of the negotiations.

In the lengthy negotiations, the chairman’s proposal for a new final text has been discussed.

The negotiators who walked out were not satisfied with the proposed funding. A Samoan representing the Alliance of Small Island States by Cedric Schuster states feel that they have not been consulted.
