Midfielder Summanen scored the only goal of the match, 1–0, in the 60th minute from a distance of about 40 meters from the opponent’s goal. In the end, Summanen’s shot bounced through the top bar and into the goal, instead of Villa’s goalkeeper For Sabrina D’Angelo missed chances to fight.
Tottenham praised the coolness of their Finnish player on social media and also shared a video of the goal.

Summanen has scored three goals for Tottenham in all competitions this season. Having won both of their matches in the league cup, Tottenham is at the top of their cup group.
Tottenham’s second Finnish player Olga Ahtinen was not in the lineup against Aston Villa.
