Skytte was 79 years old and died after a long illness on Wednesday. He passed away “quietly in the presence of his family”, the family writes.
– I’m taken. It feels very heavy, regrettable and boring. I’m reading his books and chronicles to maybe get closer to him, says Göran Skytte’s brother Håkan Skytte, who was a member of the prog band Hoola Bandoola Band to Sydsvenskan.
Skytte worked for, among other things, the newspaper Arbetet and Aftonbladet. He was awarded the Great Journalist Prize for his revelation about the then Minister of Justice Ove Rainer’s tax planning.
He also participated in the program “Rekordmagazinet” and later his own program “Skytte”, where he interviewed famous people. Skytte was also active as a musician and played, among other things, with his childhood friend Mikael Wiehe in the Cabaret Orchestra in the late 70s.
