Several of the idols have fallen ill ahead of Saturday’s seventh final. One of them is Victoria Grace Larsson, who was crass already last week. When TV4 talks to her, she says that she received antibiotics prescribed by a doctor.
– At first I was so sick that I could hardly sing, and then I got even sicker. It has really been a very busy week, she says.
Before last Saturday’s final, she was banned from speaking right up until the broadcast. During the week, she has rested her voice, but sang during Friday’s rep, and says she is on the mend.
– According to the doctor, the vocal cords should be fine now, but my body is a bit sore. Normally when you are sick you should stay at home and rest, but I just pushed on.
“Feeling a bit feverish”
Participant Leo Tekiel has also been crass during the week. When the rest of the idols went to an event on Wednesday, both he and Victoria Grace Larsson stayed in the hotel rooms and rested.
– Then I felt quite silly. Then it felt a little better. I’m a bit hungover and have a slight cold, it’s mostly that I feel a bit feverish, says Leo Tekiel.
Despite that, he thinks it went well during Friday’s rep.
– It hasn’t affected my neck that much yet, as long as I don’t get worse it feels okay, he says.
“The voice must last the whole evening”
Even Robin Sohlberg has caught a cold, something that took a toll on his voice.
– I have been sick almost all week and it mostly settled in my throat, which is not great, he says.
In the seventh Saturday finale, the idols will sing two songs each, within two different themes. The themes are Disney songs and “Idol 20 years”.
– In terms of songs, I’m quite satisfied, I think it will be a good evening. The only thing is that you want the voice to last the whole evening. It might be a bit raspier than it usually is, but I can’t do anything about it, says Robin Sohlberg.
