(Finance) – The Sardinia Region has allocated 4.75 million euros to implement a series of plans interventions at Alghero Fettilia airportwhich concern the strengthening of control systems of passengers and luggage from the hold and by hand, improving waiting times and safety levels, in order to guarantee a greater fluidity of operations in the airport, also with regards to passport control. In particular, new premises will be built for the border police.
“This strategic intervention strengthens the safety and efficiency of one of the main airports in our Region, contributing to enhancing the Sardinian airport system and improving the passenger experience – declared the Transport Councilor, Barbara Manca – We firmly believe in the rebirth of Alghero airport, an infrastructure of fundamental importance for the economic and tourist development of the area”.
