Zlatan Ibrahimovic loses the much talked about rent dispute.
The Stockholm district court rules that the tenant has the right to stay in the apartment in Ibrahimovic’s apartment building in Stockholm.
The former soccer star bought an apartment building on Östermalm in Stockholm two years ago. After that Zlatan Ibrahimovic took over the house, he ended up in a rent dispute with a tenant – who rented his accommodation via a brokerage company – after the resident was dismissed last year.
The tenant did not move out, but sued the property owner and demanded to stay with the same rights as a primary tenant.
Zlatan is forced to pay
The court now rules that the tenant is right. The couple Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Helena Victory must pay the tenant’s court costs of SEK 367,000.

Helena Seger was present at the trial. She then told that she had met the tenant who then demanded to stay or be bought out.
– I thought it was illegal. Zlatan would never pay to get XX to move, in his world he has no right to live in this apartment, said Seger.
– I think I have done everything to help XX.
According to the district court’s judgment, Ibrahimovic/Seger and the brokerage company have tried to circumvent the legislation regarding the tenant’s security of possession and the right to reasonable rent. Thus, the tenant has the right to remain as a primary tenant.
TT is looking for Ibrahimovic’s and Seger’s representatives.
