With Season 7, Diablo 4 brings a feature that players have been waiting for since its release

Players have been demanding since the release from Diablo 4 an armory to easily switch builds. This should finally come into play with Season 7 – and many of you can even try it out beforehand.

What feature is it? Diablo 3 already had the armory feature, and fans have been demanding the function for Diablo 4 since its release. The feature allows you to quickly switch between different builds. This is especially useful in the endgame when you use different builds for things like bosses and the pit.

In addition to the loot filter, a skill loadout is a feature that players have wanted for Diablo 4 for a long time. A Diablo expert suspected in August 2024 that the armory could come with Season 6 because a symbol suggested this. Ultimately, it was the wardrobe, which you open via the character sheet.

In October 2024, Community Director Adam Fletcher announced that the Armory feature for Diablo 4 was in development. And in the “Campfire Chat” livestream on November 21, 2024, the developers announced that the function would actually come into play in Season 7.

5 Armory slots per player character

This is how the armory works: Essentially, the Armory is a storage feature for the builds you want to play with a player character. This gives you the opportunity to save, name and switch between builds – without the annoying and expensive re-skilling.

  • The loadout slots are character-bound. Each character has 5 slots for the loadouts.
  • In the overview you can see gear, skills, Paragon nodes and glyphs of the saved build.
  • Changing builds with different Paragon nodes and boards does not cost gold.
  • If a saved item is missing – for example because you sold it or dismantled it – this will be marked in the preview.
  • You can access the Armory in every major city, but also in the Citadel, the Whispering Tree and the Training Ground in Kyovashad.

When can I test the Armory? To test the new feature, it will be available on the test server. According to Blizzard, the PTR for Season 7 will start on December 3rd for all players who own Diablo 4 on Battle.net. There you can not only test seasonal features for the first time, but also the armory. However, Adam Fletcher points out in the livestream that the function will not have controller support on the PTR.

You can get an impression of the new armory on the PTR from December 3rd. There you also have the opportunity to test seasonal content for the first time. The patch notes for the PTR should be available from Wednesday, November 27th.

In Diablo 4 you currently have the opportunity to level up and farm gold even faster. You can also pick up a big gift and kill a special enemy who drops a powerful elixir.
