At the same time as Susijengi bowed out to Georgia in Espoo, the key player of the Finnish national basketball team, Mikael Jantunen, starred for Paris Basketball in the Euroleague in Turkey.
Mikael Jantunen was part of Paris Basketball’s best team when the French team won basketball in the Euroleague away from Anadolu Istanbul 93–84. The Turkish team had won three of their four previous Euroleague games.
Susijeng’s star player scored a handsome 13 points with five shots. The triples sank with a whopping 75 percent in 3/4.
Jantunen’s plus/minus figure was the second best of the match +17. In addition, he stole the ball twice and provided two assists that led to the basket.
The backer of winners TJ Shorts scored 21 points with 13 shots and dished out ten assists.
Paris Basketball (8 wins, 3 losses) is on a seven-game winning streak in the Euroleague and has risen handsomely to second place in the top league of 18 teams.
With these prospects, Jantunen will play in Susijeng’s crew on Sunday, when Finland meets Georgia for the second time in the European Championship qualifiers on Sunday in Tbilisi.
