In several parts of the country it is snowing heavily and SMHI has issued several warnings during the week. During Thursday evening, several yellow warnings are in effect along the east coast.

However, the weather is expected to be calmer over the weekend. Nyheter24 has spoken to the meteorologist on duty at SMHI.

This is what the weather will be like on Friday night: “Noisy”

Ahead of Friday, SMHI has issued an orange warning for the area around Skellefteå and Robertsfors.

– Cold air will come over the country during Friday evening and we will see minus temperatures in many places, says the meteorologist on duty at SMHI, and continues:

– There will be both rain and snow in southern Sweden, and the rain will especially last along the coast. It will be a little messy for a period.

This is what the weather will be like on Saturday, November 23

Even on Saturday it looks like it will be cold.

– It looks like it will be minus degrees in most places except in the southernmost part of the country. The snow villages will stop everywhere except in the Norrlandsfjällen.

– It will be quite nice weather with sun during the day.

During Sunday, precipitation will move over southern Götaland. According to the meteorologist on duty, it may start as snow, but will change to rain during the day.

– There will be mild air over the country during the morning. The weather will be mild in Götaland, Svealand and the Norrland coast. However, the snow will remain in the north.
