As many as 7 out of 10 lack a snow shovel and 9 out of 10 lack warm clothes.

It also turns out that only seven percent carry a spare can and every third has a tow line.
As you get older, however, the numbers are better. For example, 80 percent of drivers over 35 carry a first aid kit in the car, compared to 57 percent for those aged 18–35.

Volkswagen moves in
Obviously, the Swedes’ poor preparation is something that Volkswagen wants to counteract.
They have just introduced a safety bag as standard equipment in all their passenger cars.
The bag contains five heat-reflecting emergency blankets in foil, a crank radio with flashlight and USB charger, a road map of Sweden and an ice scraper.
The safety bag is included in all cars delivered from September 2024.
