Kristersson estimates that sabotage is possible – Germany offers support

Cable breaches in the Baltic Sea can be sabotage, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson estimates.

Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson says that the Swedish leadership is “well aware” that the cable breaches in the Baltic Sea may involve sabotage.

About that reported Aftonbladet.

According to Kristersson, such sneaky jobs would be an effective way to paralyze some functions of society.

However, Kristersson says that there is still so little information that speculation is pointless.

The German authorities are now offering Finns and Swedes their help in the investigation of cable breaches. The spokesperson of the German Ministry of the Interior told about this on Wednesday.

– Now we are quickly finding out whether our suspicions of sabotage are true in relation to this cable breach. The federal police is in contact with Swedish and Finnish authorities, the Ministry of the Interior announced.
