Sweden has finished playing in the Nations League.
But they do not yet know if they are the best group ten and get a big advantage in the World Cup qualifiers.
Now the Swedish national team is clearly criticizing Uefa.
The Swedish national team went completely undefeated through the Nations League and won their C group. But still, Sweden does not know if they have become the best group ten and thus get a huge advantage before the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Chaos in the Nations League
The reason is the canceled match between Romania and Kosovo which decides everything. There is the background that Kosovo left the field in the 93rd minute due to Romanian supporters singing chants about Serbia, where there are still political conflicts between the countries.

Uefa has yet to make a decision on whether that match should end 0-0, as the result was then, or whether Romania should be awarded the victory. The decision has been delayed for a very long time now and the Romanians are really upset.
– Kosovo came here and broke things, behaved like shit boots and said nothing but lies. Yet they pretend they are the victims here. There has to be some dignity at this level, said the Romania captain Mircea Lucescu at a press conference.
Sweden’s clear criticism
The Swedish national team also airs its clear criticism of Uefa to act, to end this uncertainty.
– They are waiting for the result to see if there is an easier decision to make, Alexander Isak told Expressen after the match against Azerbaijan.
– But we went in with the right attitude and played as we were under. We picked up the ball at every goal and did the right thing from our side so now we’ll see.

Blågult did their job and defeated Azerbaijan with a whopping 6-0, which means that they are the best group ten right now. But if Romania is awarded the victory instead of a draw, they overtake Sweden in the points standings.
– Normally, for fair play, you get the decision before the match, says the Swedish national team captain Jon Dahl Tomasson to the evening paper.
– Everyone who loves Sweden knows exactly what decisions we want. But these are difficult decisions to make. There wasn’t much left of that match… We have to wait and hope for the best.
Tomasson wants to see the Swedish Football Association, SvFF, appeal to Uefa if Romania were to be awarded the victory afterwards. The national team manager Stefan Pettersson find it very strange that no decision has been made before the last group stage match in the Nations League.
– For Romania too. I don’t know why it has taken so long, we’ll have to try to get an explanation for that afterwards. Right now we know nothing, he says in a statement.
