The RN’s demands were “not to increase taxes on individuals, not to increase taxes on entrepreneurs, not to make retirees pay, to make structural savings on state operating expenses” , summarized the unsuccessful presidential candidate. “However, we have not been heard, we have not even been listened to,” she lamented.
The RN does not intend to table or vote on a motion of censure on the other texts (end of 2024 management and Social Security budget) which could be adopted by 49.3 before the State finance bill for 2025 , she clarified.

A possible government censorship would push France “into disorder and chaos”, said Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot on Wednesday. “Whoever overthrows the government will deprive the country of a budget and plunge it into disorder and chaos,” he said in an interview on CNews. “There is no alternative majority to the base which supports the current government” of Michel Barnier, affirmed the minister.
