The midseason patch 2.0.5 brings a number of buffs for all classes in Diablo 4. We summarize the highlights from the patch notes for you here on MeinMMO.
Today, November 19th, the midseason update for Season 6 in Diablo 4 is due. The patch brings with it various bug fixes, but also a number of buffs for a few items and the classes, because the “old classes” are strongly behind the overpowering Spiritborn, which dominates the tier list of the strongest builds in Diablo 4.
No nerfs are expected for the new class from Vessel of Hatred, the Spiritborn, in midseason. They should come with Season 7 and the developers advise: Enjoy what you still have now.
The buffs make all classes a little stronger. Below we will summarize what this means for the individual classes. The detailed English patch notes can be found on page 2 of the article. As soon as they are available in German, we will adapt them.
Buffs are intended to strengthen the “old classes”.
These buffs await you for the classes with patch 2.0.5:
Barbarians: Several skills receive a buff, such as Hammer of the Ancients, Churn, Double Swing, Ironskin and Mighty Throw. According to Blizzard, there was previously a bug related to the hardening affix in the “Mighty Throw” skill. Numerous Barbarian uniques are also being improved – including Joritz the Mighty’s twin strikes and tusker helmet. In addition, the damage of the legendary Paragon node Bloodlust, which plays a role in many builds, is increased.
Druids: There will be some buffs to the Spirit Blessing class mechanics for the Druid, including Pack Leader, Iron Feather, Overcharge, and Masochistic. For this purpose, all central passive skills are buffed, but also skills such as Tornado and Storm Strike. Here too, the uniques of the class receive buffs, including Stone of Vehemen, The Basilisk and Dolmen Stone.
Necromancer: The Necromancers are currently the strongest class in Season 6 after the Spiritborn (by a wide margin). There are still a few buffs for the Necromancers: The damage of the Bone Storm is increased, but other skills are also buffed, such as Hemorrhage, Disintegrate and Bloody Harvest. In addition, several passive skills receive a buff and individual uniques, including The Mortacrux and Roar from the Depths.
Huntresses: With the midseason update, the hunters can look forward to buffs for the skills Screw Blades, Dance of the Knives, Penetrating Shot, Rapid Fire and Blade Storm, among other things. In addition, the damage against elite opponents from the piercing shot is then multiplicative. In addition, the single target damage is increased by shadow infusion.
Sorceresses: The sorceresses also receive buffs for various skills, including Meteor, Hydra and Familiar. Various passive skills, legendary aspects and uniques are also buffed.
What changes are coming with patch 2.0.5? In addition to the classes, the runes also get a buff. Among other things, the effect of the Neo Rune is no longer blocked or reset by invulnerability. The rune can be quite useful, especially for builds that use barriers.
The mercenaries also receive a few improvements to their skills. In addition, Blizzard is increasing the quality of the reward chests in Legion events and reducing the cost of crafting “Slimy Eggs” from 9 to 3 hearts. In addition, the damage is increased by the boost from shrines – including the damage of the often criticized Shrine of Connection in Diablo 4, which some players find worse than 1 million stubbed toes.
