Sweden’s Queen Silvia has had a severe respiratory infection, says Hovi in its announcement.
The royal couple was supposed to go on a state visit to Singapore on Tuesday, but the queen’s illness prevented the trip. However, King Kaarle Kustaa is going on a trip with the rest of the delegation.
The 40-person delegation includes, among other things, representatives of the business world. This is the first state visit of the Swedish royal family to Singapore, although the king has made an official visit there before, says SVT.
