EU foreign ministers will meet in Brussels on Monday in a situation where China is believed to be increasingly directly supporting Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine.
China has already been known to support Russia indirectly with dual-use products useful in military material, but now China seems to be crossing the “red line” defined by the EU with increasingly direct military-technical cooperation.
News agency Reuters reported already in September about the cooperation between China and Russia for the development of long-range drones, but now also the intelligence produced within the EU has confirmed the military-technical cooperation between China and Russia related to drones.
Finland is represented at the meeting by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen (collect.).
