Ukraine implements electricity rationing after Russian attack

Ukraine will apply electricity rationing in all regions on Monday after Russia damaged power facilities during the massive attack on Kiev.

“Tomorrow, November 18, all regions will be forced to apply measures to limit consumption,” writes the Ukrainian Energy Ministry in a statement.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote about Sunday morning’s attack, on X.

“A massive attack on all regions of Ukraine. In total, an estimated 120 robots and 90 drones were sent. Our air defenses destroyed over 140 airstrikes”.

According to Zelensky, at least two people are said to have died in one of the drone attacks, and six people are said to have been injured.

In response to the attack, Poland announced that it had raised the alert and activated “all available forces”.
