The Villeneuve-Saint-Georges station area was the scene of a clash between a man and police officers. One of them shot the man several times, who did not survive. An investigation is open.

It all started from a neighborhood conflict. The police were called around six a.m. because of a man shouting in a building near the Villeneuve-Saint-Georges station (Val-de-Marne). Feeling threatened, one of the police officers opened fire on the 30-year-old man, hitting him in the stomach. He did not survive his injuries.
