(Finance) – Our country confirms itself as one of the main exporters of olive oilimmediately after the Spain. According to Ismea calculations based on Istat data, in the first seven months of 2024, theItalian export it grew by 7% in volume and 61% in value, exceeding 1.9 billion euros. For Italian olive growing companies, in fact, the channel abroad represents an important outlet, and it is essential to foster opportunities for exchange with the main importing and consuming countries of olive oil such as the United States, the first Italian customer with 29% of volumes and 31% of revenues.
This is one of the objectives of EVOLIO Expothe new international B2B fair organized by Senaf and supported by the Department of Agriculture, Rural and Environmental Development of the Puglia Region, by Pugliapromozione (Regional Tourism Agency) and by the National Association of Cities of OIio, which will be held from 30 January to 1 February 2025 at the Fiera del Levante.
In particular, the presence during the three days of specialized operators, such as the import/export managers of distribution and representation companies, is a great opportunity to showcase the excellence of our producers. THE’Italyin fact, can count on a very high quality level of olive oil and stands out for the variety of oil olives (over 500 genotypes) and for the number of denomination extra virgin oils (42 PDO and 8 PGI).
