A bird species unique to Sweden has probably been sighted this week for the first time in the country – at Djurgården in Stockholm.
It’s about a North American common thing, the red-eyed vireo, according to Raul Vicente, ecologist and member of the association Birdlife’s rarities committee, which ensures the quality of which species and subspecies have been found in Sweden.
When the committee has received an observation report from a bird watcher, they assess whether it is the right species in order to then be able to enter the find into the Swedish University of Agriculture’s species database.
However, the committee has not yet received the report and therefore cannot confirm that it is a red-eyed vireo.
– But personally I think it looks good, says Vicente.
Ten Palestinians have been killed and at least 20 more injured in an Israeli attack on a school building at a refugee camp in Gaza City, medical sources told both Reuters and Al Jazeera.

Strong winds in several parts of the country cause electricity prices to drop during Saturday, write DI.
Electricity spot prices have fallen to a maximum of just over two öre per kilowatt hour in the southernmost electricity area SE4, according to the electricity exchange Nord Pool.
By comparison, earlier this week it was at the top of 192 öre per kilowatt hour.
– The weekend’s lower prices are partly due to lower electricity use as it is warmer than normal and the weekend, but above all to a lot of wind, says Christian Holtz, electricity expert at the consulting and advisory firm Merlin & Metis to Di.
It is lowest in SE1 (0 öre) and SE1 (-0.7 öre).
– Next week, I expect the prices to rise steeply again, says Holtz.

Tesla will not receive its license plates directly from the Swedish Transport Agency. It is clear when the Supreme Court rejects the company’s request to appeal the district and appeals court’s decision on the blocked license plates, writes Arbetsvärlden.
Tesla wanted its registration plates directly from the Swedish Transport Agency instead of going through Postnord, which the unions blocked. But in both the District Court and the Court of Appeal, the unions have been right and now the electric car company’s request to take the case to the Supreme Court is rejected.
The original conflict is between Tesla and If Metall, where the latter has been trying to reach a collective agreement for a long time. Unionized Tesla workers have been on strike for over a year.
