When buying a classic Trisslott, it is important to choose the words well, a mother in her 30s noticed when she was going to buy two lottery tickets for her partner on Father’s Day.
In an interview with Aftonbladet, the mother says that she kindly said “Hey, we would like to buy two trislots that say Father’s Day” to the staff at Ica.
But there were no lotteries. The reason? She was accompanied by her 4-year-old daughter.

The choice of words that caused the Ica store to react
The shop assistant must have reacted to the wording “we” – and therefore did not feel sure whether the tickets were to be used by adults only.
– He said that unfortunately he could not sell to me because I had said that “we” wanted to buy lottery tickets, the mother tells Aftonbladet.
The Ica store’s marketing manager says to the newspaper that they acted in line with the rules they must follow as a Svenska spel agent.

In a comment to News24 confirms Svenska spel’s press service that the store acted correctly.
“According to the law, there is an 18-year-old age limit for buying games and lotteries in Sweden, and our agents receive training in which laws and regulations apply. As far as we know, the agent understood it as someone under the age of 18 would buy or scratch the lottery and then purchase is denied. Based on that, we think the agent did the right thing.”

What must not be said when buying Triss?
That you will not be allowed to buy a Trisslott if you are going to share it with a minor, that is clear.
Is there anything else that cannot be said that could cause the purchase to be refused?
“It is not and should not be difficult to buy Triss, provided you are over 18,” writes Svenska spel.
