Here’s the armorer dressing robbers and Loreen

As a child, he was fascinated by the world around Astrid Lindgren’s tale of Ronja Rövardotter – today Albert Collins himself is involved in creating it.

– I found drawings from when I was five years old with castles, knights and horses. I have been fascinated by it since I was very small, he says.

There is smoke coming out of the chimney from the forge in Mölnbo when SVT comes to visit. For over 30 years, Albert Collins has worked creating armor there. In 2020, he officially became Sweden’s new master of armor, the first since 1781. As a master’s test, he created a completely new armor with Erik XIV’s armor as a model.

Arn, Ronja and Loreen

When it is not the creation of real knight’s armor for the museum that is on the agenda, some of his work can be seen on TV. In addition to Ronja Rövardotter, he has made parts of the armor for the Arn films and the stage clothes that Loreen wore during her appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest, and it is expected that there will be more in the future.

– I’m making more armor for Loreen’s big tour that starts in February, he says.
