Emmi (Denise Schwitalle) expressed her desire to have an affair with roommate Chiara (Lidia Santangelo) on Berlin – Day & Night. Her boyfriend Krätze (Marcel Neue) has agreed to an open relationship and keeps telling himself that it’s okay for him. When his best friend Schmidti (Alexander Freund) gets wind of it, he tells Emmi his opinion.

When Schmidti comes to the houseboat, he catches Emmi and Chiara red-handed and is completely perplexed. Although Scabbers assures him that everything is fine for him, he doesn’t believe his friend. Scabbers sacrifices himself for his partner so that she can live out her dream as a beautician and she thanks him by getting involved with Chiara.
That’s why he confronts Emmi shortly afterwards and asks her to stop. She assures him that Scabbers has given his consent. Then Schmidti freaks out: “Scabbers is suffering. Scabbers is exhausted. He’s game over. And in front of her he just pretends that everything is okay. But in reality it hurts him. As if it wouldn’t hurt you if he made out with some other woman would. Emmi, this is totally your ego act.” Scabbers sacrificed himself completely for her so that she could realize herself. He ruined himself with it. But for Schmidti, things with Chiara are going too far.
Emmi brushes off the allegations. “You’re the one who has a problem. Because with scabies everything is sorted out”she ends the conversation with Schmidti.
