Sweden buys anti-aircraft robots for five billion

The deal takes place together with several other NATO countries that share a total of 1,000 robots for a value of SEK 60 billion.

The armed forces already use the system itself, in Sweden called “Air defense system 103”, but now want to stockpile ammunition. This is because if the war will be able to shoot down more incoming projectiles.

– We get greater endurance in our air defense, says Pål Jonson.

The production of the robots will take place in Europe – positive, according to him.

– It strengthens the defense industrial base in Europe and it creates a higher availability for the robotic system.
