Jennifer Court, Six Nations’ chief financial officer, will take on the job, succeeding Nathan Wright, who was interim chief executive officer.
“We extend our deepest gratitude and thanks to Mr. Wright for his dedication, leadership, and commitment during his tenure, guiding SNGR with professionalism,” said a news release issued by Six Nations.
The release said Court’s “background in finance and comprehensive understanding of the community’s priorities will equip her to step into this role and support the organization’s ongoing initiatives.”
Court will serve as acting CEO while Six Nations searches for a permanent replacement. She will be supported by an interim senior management team who have agreed to accept more responsibilities, said the release.
Director of well-being, Debra Jonathan, and director of community, Jessica Fick-Kewageshig, will report to executive director of planning, performance and evaluation, Zach Miller. Director of social services, Arliss Skye, will report to executive director of nation building, Trevor Bomberry.
