The combined world cup starts at the end of November in Ruka. Having dominated the sport in recent years Jarl Magnus Riiberin preparation for the season has been really difficult. The Norwegian has told about the situation at a press conference.
– I’ve got a stomach virus and I don’t really know what it is. But I’ve been passing blood for four weeks and that can’t be a good thing, Riiber said for NRK.
The problems started with the removal of the wisdom tooth. A similar operation was performed at the same time on the coach of the national team For Jan Schmid. Schmid competed in the orienteering competition the very next day, but Riiber got an infection.
– I was in shock. It’s not nice to see blood red color in the toilet bowl. It is strange that the reason has not yet been discovered
Riiber’s goal is to be involved in Ruka.
– I feel really bad for the first two weeks. Hopefully this will get better, but I haven’t noticed any change yet.
Riiber has won eight world championships and the overall World Cup five times.
