The United States withdraws from a UN report that compares

The formulation of the report and the accusations of genocide presented in it are unfounded, the US State Department says.

On Thursday, the United States has distanced itself from the report of the UN Special Committee, in which Israel’s military operations in Gaza are said to meet the hallmarks of genocide.

In its recent report, the special committee investigating Israel’s activities accuses the country of using starvation as a method of warfare and punishing the Palestinian population collectively.

In the report, the committee also highlights the large number of civilian casualties and the life-threatening conditions deliberately inflicted on Palestinians.

According to the statement issued by the United States Department of State on Thursday, the formulation of the report and the accusations of genocide presented in it are unfounded.

Israel rejects human rights report accusing it of war crimes

Israel, on the other hand, on Thursday rejected a report by the human rights organization Human Rights Watch, in which the organization accuses Israel of war crimes.

According to the organization, among other things, Israel’s repeated evacuation calls in Gaza meet the definition of a war crime in terms of forced relocations.

According to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Human Rights Watch’s conclusions are completely false and disconnected from reality.

Human Rights Watch also accused Israel of ethnic cleansing in areas to which Palestinians have no possibility of return.
