Customer freaked out at Systembolaget bit staff

On September 2, an incident occurred that caused a store employee at Systembolaget to be bitten and in pain.

A 35-year-old man took a bottle of whiskey worth SEK 145, according to the lawsuit filed by News24 took part in.

The man is said to have put the whiskey bottle in a bag he was carrying, which the staff saw. Staff confronted the man after he passed the tills, which escalated the situation.

The man was knocked down outside the store and is said to have bitten one of the staff. Which allegedly caused the store employee both pain and a bite mark.

The man is also said to have “slung his body and tried to tear himself away to prevent the security guard NN when he intervened against him.”, according to the lawsuit that Nyheter24 has seen.

“When the guard came I let go a little because I thought he would be calm. He wasn’t. He continued to argue even when the guard was there,” said the staff member who was bitten, according to Skövde Nyheter, which has taken part in the interrogation.

The staff pressed the assault alarm

At 6 p.m., the staff pressed the assault alarm. When a police patrol arrived at Systembolaget, the 35-year-old man was already in the warehouse, sitting on a pallet. The store manager, a security guard and two members of staff were also present.

The man was very upset and said that he could pay for the whiskey and then everything would be settled.

One of the staff reportedly told the police that the man said things when he passed her that made her feel uncomfortable.

“He said he was going to kill us all,” one person is said to have told, according to the interrogation that Skövde News took part in.

The man admits that he bit the staff

During one of the interrogations, the man admitted that he had bitten the staff.

Now the man is charged with assault, petty theft and violent resistance.

In the lawsuit that Nyheter24 has seen, it is stated that the man “admits the course of events regarding the assault but denies crime, admits petty theft and neither admits nor denies violent resistance.”

During the main hearing, surveillance footage from the incident will be played to prove the acts, the lawsuit states.
