What was announced? During the Warcraft Direct live stream, WoW’s future plans were discussed. It was mainly about the immediate future, i.e. the patch 11.0.7 and 11.1. However, game director Ion Hazzikostas added a “little extra” at the very end of the presentation and showed a trailer that only lasts a few seconds.

It showed a character opening a door and then entering a room. Various decorations and achievements hang on the wall – such as Onyxia’s head. The hero falls into a chair, takes a sip, and then sets the mug aside. It reads: “Home Sweet Home”.

Finally – housing for all WoW fans.

Or, to be clear: World of Warcraft has announced player housing as a new feature.

When is that coming? The “bad” news is that we’ll have to wait a while for the feature, because it will be part of the next expansion “Midnight” – probably in 2026. So it’ll be a little over a year before we really get into it Enjoy a digital home in Azeroth. But fans should be able to bridge this waiting period happily – in the hope that the feature will finally be good.

Are you excited about housing in World of Warcraft? Do you want a home for your characters in the game? Or do you think that Azeroth doesn’t need such a feature at all? Let us know in the comments.
