US President-Elect Donald Trump came to the White House for the first time in 4 years after his victory in the presidential elections held last week. Trump met with President Joe Biden at the White House. President Biden congratulated Trump on his election victory. In the part of the meeting open to the press, Trump said, “Politics is difficult and it is not a beautiful world. But today is beautiful,” he said.
“IT WILL BE A SMOOTH TRANSITION”
Before members of the press left the room, Biden said, “Congratulations. I look forward to a smooth transition process.”
Trump responded, “It will be as smooth a transition as possible, and I really appreciate that.”
While Biden was initially the opponent of the Republican Party’s presidential candidate Trump in the 2024 presidential election process, he later decided to withdraw from the race and announced that he would support Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s candidate. (UAV)
