Hear Alexander Isak tell about the round of golf he went with his national team colleagues during Blågult’s training-free Tuesday in the player above.
The Swedish star striker Alexander Isak is back in the national team. He missed the October Nations League matches (draw against Slovakia and win against Estonia) due to a broken toe.
But since the last gathering, the 25-year-old has played every minute for his Newcastle side in the Premier League. And in four matches he has accounted for three goals – against Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and against Arsenal, he became a great hero with the only goal of the match.
Now, for the group final against Slovakia and the last group game against Azerbaijan, he can once again form an attacking pair with Viktor Gyökeres. The last time they played together in the C division’s group stage, they were behind all six of Sweden’s goals. Where Gyökeres assisted two of Isak’s goals and Isak arranged a penalty which Gyökeres managed from eleven metres.
– I have a good feeling. It went well in September, the team did well in October. It’s just a matter of spinning on the good feeling, says Alexander Isak.
What does it mean to you that you are so strong offensively?
– First of all, it’s fun for us offensive players to have the freedom to do what we do best. If we can all get the best out of each other, it can be really good.
