On Wednesday, a person was found dead in a wooded area in northern Stockholm.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into murder.
– So far, the circumstances are unclear. With dead people, we usually start a preliminary investigation into murder, then you can see where it lands. It’s to open the toolbox, says Anders Bryngelsson at the Stockholm Police.

A 17-year-old boy is now sentenced to seven years in prison for murder, the district court says.
“Despite the perpetrator’s young age, the penalty is a relatively long prison sentence, seven years. An adult had been sentenced to life imprisonment for the same act”, writes the district court in its judgment, which further describes the shooting as a “regular execution”.
The shooting death was linked to the conflict between the two criminal networks Södra Biskop and Norra Biskop in Gothenburg.
According to the investigation, the 17-year-old is linked to Södra Biskop and the victim is believed to have previously had a known connection to Norra Biskop.
In connection with the shooting, the boy was seen leaving the crime scene, but a witness managed to take pictures of him. These are pictures that were used as evidence in the case.
According to the prosecutor, the fatal shooting is considered a revenge shooting, as a few hours earlier on the same day there had been a shooting in Partille against two leading actors in Södra Biskop.
