The incident occurred in August, during a routine search prior to an all-Swedish soccer match at the Guldfågeln Arena in Kalmar, security guards discovered that a 20-year-old man was trying to smuggle in pyrotechnics.

According to the verdict, the man initially refused to show the items he had hidden in his pants, which led to the police being called.

Two cardboard tubes fitted with stubs

After being urged by the police, the 20-year-old finally picked up what he had before for the trousers – which turned out to be two cardboard tubes fitted with the stubby that he had hidden in his underpants.

According to the verdict, the man denied the crime and said he received the items from an unknown person and did not know what they were. He explained that he stuffed the paper tubes in his underpants because he had no pockets in his pants.

Now the 20-year-old is sentenced to a day’s fine for breaking the law on flammable and explosive goods. He admits to crime.
