Ed Ventoso of La Salette said he was stunned when he got the call about his jackpot win. He’s still not sure what he’s going to do with the cash.

“Our community’s incredible support for the 50/50 draw in its second year has been truly inspiring,” said Kerri Emberlin, director of volunteer and spiritual care services at Norfolk General. “This initiative has become a fun and engaging way to raise funds for essential equipment. We’re so grateful to see our hospital staff and the broader community come together for such a meaningful cause. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

Every ticket sold helps fund critical equipment for the hospital and Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home.

Since the start of the draw last year, more than $30,000 in prizes have been awarded.
