(Finance) – Producer prices increase in Japan in October. According to the Bank of Japan, factory prices increased 3.4% year-on-year, versus a revised 3.1% in the previous month. Expectations were for a more contained growth of 2.9%.
On a monthly basis, industrial prices recorded an increase of 0.2% after the +0.3% of the previous month, exceeding expectations which indicated a zero change.
Import prices recorded an increase of 3% on a monthly basis and a decrease of 2.2% on a year-on-year basis. Export prices rose 2.6% on a monthly basis and 1% on an annual basis.
