The immensely popular “Champions of Champions” is charging for its 17th season.
The SVT favorite rolls on and nine new participants will settle for the champion title.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new season of the acclaimed TV show.
Ever since the start in 2009 has The champion of champions in SVT has been a real favorite in the TV box. Millions of Swedes have sat on the bench during the 16 seasons that have passed and we have seen the greatest heroes of Swedish sports square off against each other over the years.
Last season it was Anja Pärson who took home the champion title, after defeating Sebastian Larsson in the final duel. Now SVT is charging for a 17th season of the acclaimed television program.
Charlotte Calla’s revenge
Already in September 2024, nine former athletes went down to Spain to record the upcoming season that will be shown in 2025. As usual, Mike Leijnegard host of the popular competition show, as he has been for all previous 16 seasons.

The SVT profile is especially looking forward to welcoming the skiing hero Charlotte Kalla to the TV show, she was supposed to be in as early as the 2023 season but was forced to decline due to an unfortunate injury.
– Yes, it’s especially fun that Charlotte Kalla can finally join. The injury that stopped her last time is now healed, and we all know what primal power is contained in a vigorous Kalla, says Leijnegard in a press release.

• Johan Elmander, soccer
• Nilla Fischer, soccer
• Markus Oscarsson, canoe
• Emma Dahlström, freeski
• Tobias Karlsson, handball
• Kalis Loyd, basketball
• Marcus Nilsson, volleyball
• Thomas Heiderup, kickboxing
The presenter Micke Leijnegard is very much looking forward to the new season of the Master of Masters.
– We have an unusually large number of tall, big guys in place, not to mention Nilla Fischer, yes my God, there will be sparks, he admits.
Then the new season is shown
SVT has not yet announced a premiere date for the new season, which will be shown in the spring of 2025. But in past years, the television program has usually premiered in the month of March.

The latest season began airing already in February and continued until April. This suggests that the next season will most likely premiere in February or March 2025.
The season consists of ten episodes that are broadcast on Sunday evenings each week and where the last episode is always a final episode. During the course of the program, one participant goes out every week until the final.
