In the live stream, the developers of Diablo 4 gave a little insight into the upcoming midseason patch. All classes can look forward to buffs – even the already strong spirit-born.
On November 12th, Blizzard hosted a “Campfire Chat” livestream where they offered a glimpse of the upcoming midseason patch. This is basically a small preview, because there will be another stream next week – this time with more information and details.
What will the midseason patch include? With the midseason patch, Blizzard is planning adjustments for all classes to bring the balancing a little closer together. The spirit-born is currently the strongest class in Diablo 4 and dominates the tier list of the best builds for Season 6. The developers emphasized that there will be no nerfs in midseason – but you should “enjoy what you have” until Season 7.
In order to bring the classes more into line with each other, buffs will be made for all classes in the midseason patch. But the spirit-born does not go away empty-handed either.
Buffs for everyone – even the OP class in Diablo 4
What buffs will there be? With the midseason patch, various skills, aspects and uniques of the six classes will receive buffs, which we summarize below. In addition, we include a few English screenshots from Blizzard’s YouTube live stream.
Keep in mind that this is just a glimpse of the midseason patch. The developers emphasize that there will be more adjustments to class balance. With Season 7, further adjustments will be made, especially to the spirit-born. You can then test the changes on a PTR for the next season.
When is the midseason patch coming? The full patch notes should be available later this week, with the update itself next week. There will also be another Blizzard livestream next week in which the developers will announce details about the PTR for Season 7.
The strong spirit-born is a recurring topic in the Diablo 4 community. Players discuss the OP builds and some think that they could use a nerf. Others think it’s better to demand buffs for all other classes. However, some also warn against making unconsidered wishes, as Blizzard often uses feedback to improve Diablo 4.
