Van Oostenbruggen lives with his wife and two daughters in Leidsche Rijn. There he is a member of the NGK church RijnWaarde. He also does running, boot camp and volleyball, he says. He went to the former de Bruijne Lyceum, on Koningsbergerstraat in Utrecht. He then studied international business at Maastricht University.
