Frida Karlsson is singled out as the messiest in the Swedish cross-country team

During the pre-season, the skiers in the national cross-country team spend a lot of time together in different hotels.
There is one person whose room is a bit messier than everyone else – she is now singled out by the riders.
– It’s probably Frida who has the messiest, says Johanna Hagström.

The ski season is approaching and the Swedish national team skiers are preparing as best they can. This has meant several different training camps both abroad and in Sweden. Between training sessions, the riders also get a lot of free time which they spend in their hotel rooms.

Frida Karlsson has no order

When some of the cross-country skiers answered follower questions on the Swedish Skiing Association’s official Instagram account, they were asked which people in the national cross-country team are the best and worst at keeping their rooms tidy.
“Who has the messiest and cleanest hotel room at camp?”, was the exact question.

Emma Ribom26, is the first to answer:
– Most order, I would say, Moa Ilar. The messiest… can probably be Frida (Karlsson) actually, she says.
Also Johanna Hagström26, shares his views. It turns out she has identical answers to Ribom.
– Ilar has the cleanest rooms. And Frida is probably the messiest, she says.

Karlsson does rehab training himself

Frida Karlsson is currently on a rehabilitation trip in Tenerife. There she cycles and does pole training to try to keep in shape while she recovers from her foot injury. She has not been able to accompany the other national team skiers at the high-altitude camp in the Italian Val Senales, nor could she accompany the skiers who instead chose to train in the Swedish Vålådalen last week. She is still not allowed to ski.

It is reported that Karlsson may miss the season opener. November 22-24 is the Swedish premiere in Bruksvallarna and the following weekend is the World Cup in Ruka, Finland. The 25-year-old risks missing both competitions.
– I can’t make a long-term plan, we have to take it day by day. I have constant contact with my physiotherapist at home. We want to see that it goes in the right direction all the time, she said recently at a press conference:
– Hopefully, I might be able to fit in a bit of staking at the end, but otherwise it will just be a bike. I try to take the whole situation in stride. I won’t have time to ski that much before it starts, but I hope to be fit for the fight for the season premiere in Bruksvallarna, she continued.
